02Why the ZR-V

The SUV that drives like a saloon.

The ZR-V sits between the HR-V and the CR-V, but it is not an in-between version: it has a long bonnet, a low nose and the same 184 hp powertrain as the Civic. 0–100 in 7.9 seconds, 180 mm of ground clearance and a 390-litre boot — an SUV for anyone who missed the pleasure of driving.

The Civic engine, in an SUV

2.0 e:HEV, 184 hp and 315 Nm from the electric motor: the same combination that takes the Civic to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. In the ZR-V it takes 7.9, with 180 mm of ground clearance and a higher driving position. The steering wheel paddles do not change gear — they set how strongly the car recovers energy.

An interior from the class above

The driver's seat adjusts electrically in eight directions, the passenger's in four, and both are heated. The dashboard has ambient lighting, chrome handles and sports pedals. The tailgate is powered, with Walk Away close: it shuts itself as you walk away.

Eight speakers and wireless charging

The audio system has eight speakers, your phone charges wirelessly, and beneath the 9-inch screen physical buttons remain for the dual-zone climate control.
