02Why the CX-5

The finest journey never ends.

The CX-5 is the car that built Mazda's reputation in the SUV segment. The new generation grows to 4,690 mm, gains a 12.9-inch centre display with Google built in, and keeps exactly what needed keeping: a torque-converter automatic, 583 litres of luggage space and road manners that do not wear you out after 400 kilometres.

The rear bench folds 4:2:4

You can drop the middle third alone, for skis or a long board, and keep both outer seats occupied. The boot starts at 583 litres and reaches 2,019 with the bench folded flat, and the doors open wide for child seats.

Google built into the dashboard

Google Maps, Gemini and Google Play run natively on the 12.9-inch display, so you no longer depend on your phone for navigation. The DAB audio system with eight speakers is included in the price.

Two tonnes of towing

Braked, on a 12% gradient, the CX-5 tows 2,000 kilograms: a caravan, a boat trailer or a trailer full of motorcycles. The 56-litre tank and the torque-converter automatic make the rest of the long journey pass easily.
